Outstanding CQC Rating Group

Quality Care Group

A group of innovative care leaders from some of the country’s best care services have come together to find ways of improving standards across the adult social care sector.

The Outstanding Society was initially conceived by Camilla Trimble - Director of Nazareth Lodge in Dorset, following her home’s ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission. Her idea was to create a working group of Outstanding Care providers, with the aim of sharing best practice across the sector.

With support from Professor Martin Green, Chief Executive at Care England, an initial core group of providers were recruited, representing a broad spectrum across learning disability, dementia, residential and nursing care.

The Society intends to develop a mentoring scheme for services in dire need as well as offering general advice to all providers. The group also hope to act as a voice for the sector, creating opportunities to provide feedback on challenging issues such as safeguarding and consistency in reporting and inspections.
